Samuel Li, Solicitor & Notary Public, is founder and owner of Samuel Li & Co., Solicitors & Notaries.
Samuel qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1983. He represented the successful plaintiff throughout in the notable case of LUEN HING FAT COATING & FINISHING FACTORY LTD v. WAAN CHUEN MING,  2 HKLRD 223; (2011) 14 HKCFAR 14 from the commencement of the case to the Court of Appeal and then to the Court of Final Appeal, being the highest level. This leading case is now included in university law textbooks, and will be cited in common law courts all over the world.
In 1995, Samuel passed the Notarial Examination and was admitted as a Notary Public to practise in Hong Kong.
Samuel now focuses on notarial practices. In the preceding 20+ years as a Notary Public, Samuel has an excellent track record in providing notarial services to corporate clients including world’s leading brands, world’s leading airline, international banks, international shipping companies, TV stations & listed companies. He has notarised documents involving single transaction value exceeding HK$45,000,000,000. His clients also include international law firm lawyers, company secretaries, accountants, medical doctors, private bankers & teachers. His notarised documents have been used in more than 20 countries and regions including USA, UK, Russia, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan and Macau.
Samuel has authored articles on legal topics including Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney.
As a speaker, Samuel has given at least 36 legal seminars. He has presented the CPD topic of “Execution and Proof of Company Documents for Overseas Use Under the New Companies Ordinance (Cap.622)” not less than 8 times with total audience of more than 1,200.
Samuel has received 6 Pro Bono Legal Services Awards respectively from the Home Affairs Bureau of the HKSAR and The Law Society of Hong Kong in recognition of his promoting legal knowledge to the public.
